things I love dearly. (and some words I despise)

I don't know what it is, but it just won't quit.

What do you love?

A loaded question to some, perhaps too easy for others. Others meaning yours truly. I love many things - living, and not so living. Tasty and inedible.

1. I love making lists. This was really just an excuse for me to make a list. Of... things.

2. I love being alive. It's pretty damn cool. Living forever, however (poetry!) is overkill.

3. I lovelovelove (<-- multiples mean I really mean it.) my husband! He is truly, sincerely, completely, unashamedly, the BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO ME.

4. The number four, and thursdays - the fourth day of the work week. Occasionally, I'm off :-)

5. Penguins. 'nuff said. Well, I can never say enough about penguins. Apparently, one can never have enough penguins either. Or too many penguin tattoos.

6. Photography - analog, black and white. Preferably processed in a darkroom, by me. Usual subjects: the broken, the decrepit, the sad. Buildings, old signage, frozen landscapes.

7. I love to cook! Recently, I am very enamored with natural cooking and whole grains. Do I really cook with such things? Not necessarily :-) I work full-time and school part-time - give a gal a break.

8. I love anything vintage - from my cameras (Mamiya-Sekor!) to my collections (Pyrex, baby) to my car (1971 VW fastback).

9. Volkswagens - this is truly Jim's madness, but I went crazy, too. I went to Bug-Out, I came home with a type 3 blood type. Yeah, it's that nuts.

10. I love Edward Gorey. He's an illustrator, look him up!

This is but a small listing of the things I love. Since I'm going to want to make a list later on, I'm sure, I'll just pause for now.

Oh, yay, it's later! Time for another list.

Words I despise: -padded- especially when used as a verb. -fellowship- too many (organized) religious connotations. I'll discuss my (lack of) religion later, I'm sure :-) -mucus- it's just gross.
